Aged Democrat Joe Biden, who is trying to launch another run for the White House, recently told NBC that the man who shot at and stopped the Texas church shooter shouldn’t have been allowed to have a gun. So, Biden would prefer that the church shooter’s terror attack would have continued unabated than allow a good guy with a gun to interfere.
Biden’s idiotic remark came in response to a question from an audience member as he appeared on NBC’s “Today” show on Monday, Daily Wire reported.
Indeed, the girl who asked the question asked it in a rather pointed way.
“So, with the tragedy that happened in Texas, my question is,” she began “how do you justify the Democratic view on gun control when the shooter was stopped by a man who was legally licensed to carry a gun?”
“Well, first of all, the kind of gun being carried he shouldn’t be carrying,” Biden said. “Assault weapons are . . . I wrote the last serious gun control law that was written and was law for 10 years, and it outlawed assault weapons and it outlawed weapons with magazines that had a whole lot of bullets and so you can kill a whole lot of people a lot more quickly.”
Strangely, despite his past proclamations about stricter background checks, Biden went on to incoherently insist that nothing can be done if a person gets a gun legally and turns out to be crazy later on. “That’s just life,” he said.

Biden clearly has no idea what he is talking about. But it is not a surprise.
Biden was considered the joke of the U.S. Senate when he was a Senator from Delaware from the 1970s to his election as Vice President. Even John Kerry made fun of him then. JOHN KERRY! Now THAT is really saying something.
In any case, this NBC appearance is an attempt by the media to pump Biden up again as a serious candidate for president in 2020.
This isn’t the first time Biden has offered incorrect, incoherent, even dangerous, advice on guns.
Many will recall his nonsense in February of 2013.
“If you want to protect yourself, get a double-barrel shotgun,” Biden told Parents Magazine . “You don’t need an AR-15. It’s harder to aim, it’s harder to use, and in fact, you don’t need 30 rounds to protect yourself. Buy a shotgun. Buy a shotgun.”
In another interview during the period, Biden added, “Just fire the shotgun through the door.”
Unfortunately, this would make the homeowner a criminal in many states because you can’t shoot through doors at people in a justified shooting. In many states it is only a justified shooting if the criminal actually enters a house to threaten an innocent person. Shooting someone outside the home is illegal in many states.
So, Joe Biden is hardly the person one should listen to when one is seeking advice about firearms.
