We knew President Trump’s time in office would be historic. But we never thought these years would be this significant.
In a little over a year in office, President Trump has been tested like few leaders. Unprecedented challenges have hit the United States, including three hurricanes, numerous attacks, and other natural disasters. Through it all, Trump has managed to make good on many promises.
Now, after a terrible school shooting and typical response from the left, Trump is holding strong to his beliefs. And it seems that his reaction to the Florida attack has had an unexpected effect on Americans’ view of him. The polls say it all.
From Rasmussen Reports:
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 50% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Forty-nine percent (49%) disapprove…
This is the president’s highest job approval rating since mid-June of last year. President Obama earned 45% approval on this date in the second year of his presidency…
Following last week’s massacre at a Florida high school, Democrats and many in the media are clamoring for more gun control. But most Americans don’t believe stricter gun control laws will reduce violent crime. They also don’t trust the federal government to enforce gun laws fairly.
Support for more gun control is now equal to calls for more treatment of the mentally ill as the best way to stop incidents of this kind. Still, only 32% believe schools can be made completely safe from violence like this.
Keep in mind, this is after two years of negative coverage by the liberal media. Major news outlets continue to attack Trump, his administration, and his supporters.
Yet his approval is higher than Obama’s was at the same point in his administration (and that was with liberal outlets worshiping him). Imagine what Trump’s numbers would be if the media was actually honest?
Every time something terrible happens in America, it is a test of our leadership. How they respond reveals their strength of character. After the events in Parkland, FL, Trump is taking a commanding lead.
He is not letting liberals or pundits determine what we do. The president has visited the school and the victims. He invited families to the White House for a roundtable discussion. And he’s been very vocal about possible solutions to the problem.
That’s what Americans want to see: a president that is doing something about this issue. On the left, we only see complaining, attacks, and politicizing. Liberals refuse to show humanity to victims. They are only interested in pushing their agenda.
Americans are seeing through their schemes.
