Bombshell: Russian Billionaire Drops Name Behind Funding of Dossier, and it’s One We All Know

news, politics, world

Elder Patriot – Sen. Mark Warner, the top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee who has been leading a congressional investigation into President Trump’s alleged ties to Russia, had extensive contact last year with a lobbyist for a Russian oligarch who was offering Warner access to former British spy and dossier author Christopher Steele, according to leaked text messages obtained exclusively by Fox News.

That Russian oligarch is Oleg Deripaska, the founder of UC Rusal, the world’s leading producer of aluminum.

Deripaska penned an op-ed for the Daily Caller explaining how “The Ever-Changing ‘Russia Narrative Is False Public Manipulation,” and is being funded by “George Soros and Silicon Valley billionaires.”

Deripaska recalls the movie “Wag the Dog” in which the appearance of a war is falsely manufactured by a Hollywood producer as a distraction in a close election.

Many believe that Bill Clinton had been accused of creating such false scenario’s on multiple occasions, notably when he ordered Operation Desert Fox, a four-day bombing campaign during the House impeachment hearings against him.

And, then again, when the launch of Operation Infinite Reach pre-empted ABC’s special report following Monica Lewinsky’s testimony before Congress.

The Clinton’s manipulation of the media became legendary so it should surprise no one what Deripaska has to say about Christopher Steele, Fusion GPS, and the billionaires backing Hillary’s ascendancy to the presidency:

“The ever-changing “Russia narrative” in American politics is today’s “Wag the Dog” scenario. Technology and the disintegration of evidence-based journalism permit a surprisingly small number of individuals to destroy bilateral or multilateral relations. Their motivation in shifting from an inconvenient reality into their desired reality is power and military-industrial commercial interests.”

“When I attended the Munich Security Conference in February, the extraordinary, coordinated message of a panel of U.S. senators was summarized by moderator Victoria Nuland, former assistant secretary of state under President Barack Obama, as: “Deep State-proud loyalists giv[ing] broad reassurance about continuity.” One of the panelists, Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.), said: “What the Breitbart crowd would call the ‘Deep State’ is what many of us would call ‘knowledgeable professionals.’” The panel’s uniform message was essentially: Ignore Donald Trump and increase your defense budget to 2 percent, because the generals who are ‘operationalizing policy’ remain in charge.”

“What has been inelegantly termed the “Deep State” is really this: shadow power exercised by a small number of individuals from media, business, government and the intelligence community, foisting provocative and cynically false manipulations on the public. Out of these manipulations, an agenda of these architects’ own design is born.”

Deripaska claims to speak as a victim with first hand knowledge of how they work:

Unfortunately, I am personally familiar with this group. Before they moved to their current, bigger ambitions of reversing the U.S. presidential election results, they scurrilously attacked me, and others from the shadows for two decades. The various story lines and roles they have created for me don’t survive close scrutiny and are internally inconsistent, yet they simply follow the “Wag the Dog” playbook: We don’t need it to prove to be true. We need it to distract them.

“ …on March 16, 2017, Daniel— himself a team member of Fusion GPS, self-described former FBI agent and, as we now know from the media, an ex-Feinstein staffer — met with my lawyer, Adam Waldman, and described Fusion as a “shadow media organization helping the government,” funded by a “group of Silicon Valley billionaires and George Soros.” My lawyer testified these facts to the Senate Intelligence Committee on Nov. 3. Mr. Soros is, not coincidentally, also the funder of two “ethics watchdog” NGOs (Democracy 21 and CREW) attacking Rep. Nunes’ committee memo.

The leaked text message between Senator Mark Warner and Deripaska’s attorney confirmed for Congressional investigators that Jones is “intimately involved with ongoing efforts to retroactively validate”the Steele–Fusion GPS memos.

Among those text messages was one sent from Deripaska’s attorney to Senator Mark Warner:

The Federalist’s Sean Davis reported three weeks ago:

“New evidence suggests that a former top staffer for Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) may be directing the post-election efforts of Fusion GPS, a Democrat-linked political opposition research firm, to vindicate a series of memos alleging illegal collusion between the Donald Trump campaign and Russian officials.

“Congressional documents and recently leaked texts between Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) and a registered foreign agent for a Russian aluminum oligarch indicate that Daniel J. Jones is intimately involved with ongoing efforts to retroactively validate a series of salacious and unverified memos produced by Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence agent, and Fusion GPS.

Is this the reason that Democrats are no longer supportive of Feinstein’s re-election bid?  Are they distancing themselves from her for reasons that are soon to become known?

Of this Deep State collusion Deripaska wrote:

President Theodore Roosevelt once cautioned: “Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an invisible government owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility to the people. To destroy this invisible government, to befoul the unholy alliance between corrupt business and corrupt politics, is the first task.”

More than a half-century later, President John F. Kennedy delivered his famous “Secret Societies” speech that many people attribute as the reason he was assassinated:

“Even today, there is little value in insuring the survival of our nation if our traditions do not survive with it. And there is very grave danger that an announced need for increased security will be seized upon by those anxious to expand its meaning to the very limits of official censorship and concealment. That I do not intend to permit to the extent that it is in my control. And no official of my Administration, whether his rank is high or low, civilian or military, should interpret my words here tonight as an excuse to censor the news, to stifle dissent, to cover up our mistakes or to withhold from the press and the public the facts they deserve to know.

Fast-forward another half-century and once again we have a president willing to risk his life to destroy what has today become known as the Deep State.

President Donald J. Trump is under the same constant attacks from those President Kennedy spoke about back then:

“Our way of life is under attack. Those who make themselves our enemy are advancing around the globe. The survival of our friends is in danger. And yet no war has been declared, no borders have been crossed by marching troops, no missiles have been fired.

[…]

“For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence–on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day. It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations.

[…]

“Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried, not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned, no rumor is printed, no secret is revealed. It conducts the Cold War, in short, with a war-time discipline no democracy would ever hope or wish to match.”

Its dissenters are silenced, not praised.”  That is exactly what has happened to sites like ours at the hands of those Silicon Valley billionaires.

We may find George Soros disgusting for the power he wields politically but men like Soros always existed.  Open and honest reporting that leads to open and unbiased debate is the remedy for that.

The billionaires of Silicon Valley who are silencing us are the real enemies of our republic.

The ascension of Donald Trump to the presidency and their unwillingness to let go of the phony narratives now threatens to bring down a major political party – the political party they invested so heavily in.
