In her memoir What Happened, which should really be called Trump Happened, Hillary Clinton blames many people for her election loss in 2016.
She includes Vladimir Putin, “gullible” Americans, and most especially, former FBI director James Comey.
Clinton wrote that her image as a candidate for president greatly suffered after Comey decided to reopen the investigation into her emails. She ludicrously claims that she was the perfect picture of a seasoned leader, but “Comey’s letter turned that picture upside down.”
Yes, Hillary seriously claims that her repeated scandals, many of which occurred before Comey was directing the FBI, had nothing to do with her loss.
Despite all of this bad blood, Comey is now the left’s best friend. Why? Because Comey is publishing a tell-all book that is sure to lambast Trump, and is set to do an interview with Bill Clinton’s former senior advisor and press director, George Stephanopolous. No conflict of interest there, I’m sure.
The media is desperate for dirt on the President, and Comey is more than willing to provide it, considering he can no longer find employment in the Justice field after his miserable performance at the FBI. Now Comey can only get work, and attention, by stumping the lecture circuit and selling books, just like Hillary Clinton.
The GOP however is not going to let Comey have his 15 minutes of fame without a fight, and they’re sounding off on what an unreliable source the disgraced FBI director is.
From Fox News:
The Republican National Committee launched an aggressive campaign to paint fired FBI Director James Comey as a liar, just days before the airing of his first interview since he was cut loose and shortly before the release next week of his tell-all memoir.
The RNC borrowed a term, coined by then-candidate Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential primaries for “Lyin’ Ted Cruz,” and pegged it to the embattled former chief of the FBI.
The RNC’s new website is www.LyinComey.com, where the GOP plans to fact check Comey’s book and use “rapid response” to highlight any “misstatements” or “contradictions” in it, according to an RNC official.
The website includes quotes from Democrats like Pelosi, Schumer, and even Maxine Waters, who audibly criticized Comey when he was FBI director. Back then, Comey was no friend to the left, who stated he had “no credibility”, was “not in the right job”, and that he had “badly overstepped his bounds”.
Now that he’s playing by their rules, those criticisms have been forgotten. It’s amazing what the promise of money can do to someone’s integrity. It’s even more amazing that Comey chose to entitle his book, “A Higher Loyalty” when he failed to uphold his oath and refused to prosecute Hillary Clinton for taking a hammer to her hard drives.
If Comey’s Twitter account is any indication, he is eating up all of the attention he’s getting and is eagerly anticipating getting his moment in the spotlight.
The book is set to be released next week, and is sure to be filled with great material…to throw into the fireplace.
